Why should you be in the photo?
Because one day, your children will go looking for you. Not the birthday parties or the holiday mornings you so carefully documented, but you — your hands holding theirs, the way they fit in your lap, the way you looked at them in this season of their childhood. Portraits of a mother with her children become the images families treasure most, and they simply cannot be taken later. This version of the two of you exists right now.
What is a Mommy & Me session?
A Mommy & Me session is a fine-art portrait experience designed entirely around the bond between a mother and her children. These sessions are reserved for Mommy and her babies only — no divided attention, no wrangling the whole household. Just you and the little people who made you a mama, photographed on a styled set in imagery you will treasure for a lifetime.
What will I wear?
This is where the experience becomes a gift to you. Your session includes a couture piece from the studio's client closet — the same collection of designer gowns our maternity mamas adore, with over 100 pieces to choose from. You arrive, we select something that makes you feel radiant, and you step in front of the camera feeling styled rather than self-conscious.
What should my children wear?
Little ones' wardrobe comes from your own closet, and simpler is better. Choose soft, timeless pieces in tones that complement your gown rather than match it exactly — creams, neutrals, and gentle colors photograph beautifully and keep every eye on the connection between you. What if I feel awkward in front of the camera?
Most mamas do at first, and it is my favorite thing to solve. You will never be left standing in front of a backdrop wondering what to do with your hands. I guide you into every pose — snuggles, giggles, forehead kisses, quiet moments — like a trusted friend and personal stylist combined. The connection is already there; my job is simply to capture it.
What do I receive?
The Mini experience includes your couture client-closet piece, one fine-art style set, 20 to 30 proofs to choose from, and 5 beautifully edited digital images with a print release. The Full experience expands that to 40 to 50 proofs and 10 edited images. Either way, you leave with heirloom artwork of you and your babies, ready to print and hang where you will see it every day.
When is the right time?
Now. Not when the baby weight is gone, not after the next haircut, not once the toddler is more cooperative. Your children think you are the most beautiful woman in the world today, and they are right. Session dates are reserved with a $100 retainer, and the sweetest seasons have a way of slipping past while we wait to feel ready.
